HISTORY
BSNC was formed in 1980 as a non-profit corporation that promotes crime prevention, public safety and emergency preparedness
concepts in partnership with the Berkeley Police Department.
BSNC MEMBERSHIP
Neighborhood Watch Groups that belongs to the BSNC pay annual dues of $15. These dues are paid annually, each January.
MEETINGS
Neighborhood Watch Groups meet at least twice yearly. Please maintain your record of activity be informing the COmmunity
Services Bureau (CSB) of the Berkeley Police Department of your meetings. Meeting with your Beat Officer MUST BE SCHEDULED
IN ADVANCE by calling the CSB at (510) 981-5808.
BENEFITS YOUR NEIGHBORHOOD GROUP RECEIVES FROM JOINING BSNC
* Special notices for BSNC meetings and related events, plus other useful public safety materials.
* A once yearly Refuse Dumpster for your neighborhood, available after you have had two meetings in the current calendar
year, which were scheduled throught the CSB Office and included a Beat Officer or other City Official.
